BIUST TO HOST STEM FESTIVAL 2017 IN FRANCISTOWN

THEME:  "STEM FOR DEVELOPMENT: CREATING A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE FOR BOTSWANA"

 

The Botswana International University of Science & Technology (BIUST) has embarked on a annul Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Festival, aimed at promoting both scientific literacy and public awareness of STEM in general economic and social life advancement.  The STEM Festival highlights and buttresses the relevance and criticality of STEM,  STEM innovations and inventions, hence the theme; “STEM FOR DEVELOPMENT: CREATING A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE FOR BOTSWANA”

The STEM Festival will allow public institutions and  industry to show case their peculiar STEM niches on which their businesses leverage  as they  contribute to the national socio-economic betterment, and allowing students (pre-tertiary and tertiary) and researchers to showcase their dreams and have those dreams being celebrated.

 A call is therefore being made to industries,   companies, institutions, groups and individuals to participate in the upcoming STEM FESTIVAL celebrated in April 2017.  Areas of participation include exhibits, seminar / conference, presentations and science shows
