Botswana International University of Science & Technology - BIUST

Communications & Public Affairs

The Communications and Public Affairs Directorate was one of the first few that started operation when the administrative functions of the University were rolled out in 2009. A lot has happened from the time this directorate started until today.  A lot of positive changes have taken place which has seen BIUST becoming one of the most celebrated tertiary institutions in the country as well as positioning itself as one of the most sought after universities in continental Africa. Through the efforts of this directorate BIUST became a household name within the first two years of its existence. Today BIUST enjoys one of its best public ratings since its inception close to six years owing to its leadership of international repute in the persons of Vice Chancellor, Distinguished Professor Hilary I. Inyang, Provost and Distinguished Professor Dennis Siginer and committed team of international faculty and support staff members.

This directorate has ensured that BIUST wins the respect and attention both locally and internationally through active and regular engagement of the media. The directorate continues to exhibit creativity and innovative on how to position BIUST on the path to global competitiveness in the tertiary education sector. The directorate remains unrelenting in fostering BIUST into the global media front page, thus becoming a tertiary institution of choice for discerning prospective learners, researchers and education enthusiasts alike.
As you navigate the BIUST website, our website, you have begun to relish the hard work, creativity and innovativeness of what I want to call the Dream Team in the directorate of Communication and Public Affairs.

These are the people who have made it possible for you to be able to navigate the “World of BIUST”, the research-intensive university that is truly “Driving Change”.

Our mission is to take this message to the whole, to proclaim the news from shore to shore that “there now exists in the continent of Africa an institution with a difference, an institution that must prove to the world that the Albert Einsteins of the 21st Century must come of the dark continent.

I am extremely delighted to welcome you to web page of the directorate of Communications and Public Affairs.
